Annual April Event
National Rebuilding Day

In April, RTSD holds its annual event, providing "mini makeover" renovation repairs to an average of 15-20 needy homes and community facilities. With over a 1,000 volunteers out in force, we paint, clean up homes and yards, and perform repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry and electrical. Each project is “adopted” by a sponsor. We can only take on as many projects as we have sponsorships for.

The San Diego event is part of the National Rebuilding Day, were over 250 sister affiliates take part nation-wide all on the same day. Individually and jointly, our renovation efforts bring volunteers and communities together making a major impact on homes, lives and communities in almost every state across the US. Our 2006 Impact: 8,900 homes and non profit facilities, 267,000 volunteers serving 1,897 communities at a market value of $98 Million Dollars.
